AnTracks

Example of AnTracks at work
Tracking ants on desert soil
(from http://www.antracks.org)

AnTracks is a computer vision software I am developing for automated video analysis of animal behavior. It is specifically designed to detect and track particles with low contrast to the background, like ants on desert soil - a task where many other tracking software fail. To that aim, AnTracks uses novel machine learning techniques and state of the art image processing algorithms, which had to be specifically developed for this challenge.

With AnTracks, I am collaborating with several research groups, national and international, to advance their research on various species. Currently, the AnTracks zoo includes different types of ants, fireflies, and fish.
